Each member of The Mentor Board took 5 minutes to tell the YES Prep students a bit about their business and offer information about internships offered. The students then split up in groups of 3 students to 1 Mentor. The Mentors spent time answering questions from the students about their line of work and any internships offered.
The Y Blazers Studios Mentor Board is composed of 6-10 companies in the field of Video Production and Photography in Houston. Attending the November lunch were:

The mission of The YES Prep, Y Blazers Studios Mentor Board is to connect video production, photography, and other multimedia professionals to high school students. We encourage working internships, strengthen professional relationships, and educate to improve technical skills.
Throughout the year we will hold:
1) Mentor lunches
2) Learning events (next event likely will be an After Effects class taught by Kevin Fitzgerald or Mike Alderfer)
Thank you to Craig Brandenburg for helping us organize and connect with the students. Also, thank you to Mark Dibella, Director (principal) at YES Prep North Central for facilitating these meetings.
